At The Unspeakeasy, we take the privacy of our members seriously. That’s why we’ve implemented an easy application process that helps us ensure that everyone in our community is acting in good faith, and it also lets you be sure you’ve come to the right place.
All of the information you provide us will be kept confidential, but we will use it to make sure you are who you say you are.
WHAT TO EXPECT

Fill out the application to the best of your ability.

Agree to our community rules.

We will take a quick look at your social media handles or any relevant websites to verify your identity. Don’t worry, we’re not poring through your tweets — we don’t have time! We just want to make sure you’re a real person.

We might ask to set up a Zoom meeting with you to further verify your identity.

After verification, we will send you to a page to pay and pick your membership level. Right now, we are only admitting new members who register by their full and real names. We know this isn’t everyone’s preference, and we are working towards a solution that will let people maintain some anonymity. But for the moment, no pseudonyms or initials are allowed.
Our community is based on honesty — both intellectual and personal. We reserve the right to remove members who risk other community members’ privacy or security.
